It is no surprise that there are unique challenges and psychological changes that can occur during pregnancy. One moment you may feel wonderfully happy, teary-eyed and next sad, irritable and tired. There are so much of advice for maintaining physical health during pregnancy, but mental health is just as important as physical health.

Here’s are some self-care tips to help you navigate fluctuating moods:

  • Release Those Endorphins (Endorphins are endogenous opioid neuropeptides and peptide hormones in humans.They are produced and stored in the pituitary gland.)
  • Connect with Others Who Can Relate
  • Engage in Positive Self-Talk
  • Reduce Information Overload(click and search online, information overload can make you feel overwhelmed and uneasy.)
  • Seek Professional Help: it’s important to recognize that chronic depression or anxiety can develop during pregnancy. Ups and downs are a natural part of the pregnancy.

  • Sadness or anxiety
